The Hood House

 Built around 1850, this historic home has been in the Hood family for 4 generations. Fully renovated with all the modern conveniences, the house is located 5 miles west on Route 230 (Wolftown - Hood Rd.) from Route 29 in Madison County, Virginia, award winning wine country. Close to Charlottesville, Shenandoah National Park, Old Rag Mountain, Blue Ridge Mountains, and the prestigious Greene Hills Country Club.

The Hood House Amenities

With 5 spacious bedrooms - 4 with queen beds, 1 with twin beds, 3 1/2 baths, gathering room, dining room that seats 20, fully equipped kitchen, patio with pergola and a gas grill. A wide front porch to watch the world go by. Gas log fireplaces are located in the Gathering Room and the Master Suite along with gas stoves located in the other queen bedrooms. Satellite TC, DVD & games are provided along with towels and linens. Comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests.

The Back of the Store Event Hall

If you would like a celebration for 30 - 35 people then the Back of The Store event room is right next door to the house. It has a kitchen with 2 cooking stoves, refrigerator, and stainless steel tables that would make a caterer feel right at home making a luncheon or dinner for you and your guest. There are many china and glass patterns to choose from for your special event.

Spend the weekend or a week. Two night minimum stay required. The Hood House and The Back of the Store Event Hall are great locations for small intimate weddings luncheons or dinners (up to 35 people).
