The Hood House

Built around 1850, this historic home has been in the Hood family for four generations. Fully renovated with all the modern conveniences, the house is located five miles west on Route 230 (Wolftown - Hood Rd.) from Route 29 in beautiful Madison County, Virginia. The home is also centrally located to Shenandoah National Park, Old Rag Mountain, local award-winning wineries, and the city of Charlottesville.

The main floor includes:

  • Gathering room with a gas log fireplace, satellite TV/DVD and games

  • Dining room (comfortably seating 20 guests), connecting to a half bath

  • Fully equipped kitchen opening to an outdoor patio, pergola, and gas grill

Five spacious bedrooms - comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests:

  • Four queen beds (master suite includes a gas log fireplace with gas stoves in the remaining bedrooms)

  • One set of twin beds

  • Three full baths

  • Towels and linens are provided

*Additional hosting space is located next door to the Hood House at the “Back of the Store” Event Hall. The space is equipped to host an event up to 35 guests. The event hall includes a fully functional kitchen with two stoves, a refrigerator/freezer, and stainless-steel tables. All perfect for cooking, prep, or catering needs.
